SESSION 4 -DIGITAL CONTENT TO ENERGIZE INSTRUCTION

ACTIVITY:	DESCRIPTION:	OBJECTIVE:
IN CLASS	Use of digital cameras, scanners, document cameras, data projectors, photos, movies, sound files, clip art and other digital audio/video elements to enhance lessons and stimulate learning.	Understand how digital elements improve instruction.
DISCUSSION	How can digital content provide visual and or audio enhancement to a lesson? Write a lesson that integrates technology K-12 Benchmarks for technology (Battle Creek Public Schools Model)	Student understanding of key concepts Use online learning tools to support classroom teaching (course competency 3) Examine and evaluate a variety of teaching and classroom management strategies for a computer lab or technology rich classroom (Course Competency 4) Use data to drive instruction (course competency 5)
MODEL LESSON	A8: Model Lesson 3: Telling Time Generate a PDF Clock Develop a simple rubric for assessment using the rubistar online tool.
