RUBRIC FOR ONLINE ARTICLE:

TASK: Find an online article and write a one page summary with your comments about the article.

A SUMMARY means to discuss the MAIN POINTS of the article and then if you list a point you should provide comment. How do the main points reinforce the position of the article? COMMENT means do you agree, disagree and WHY? How might you apply this information in a classroom?

Was the article based on facts and research or opinion? Watch for key words like, personally, I feel, which are subjective in nature. Citing research and the work of others provides a more objective perspective.
