GIVE THE AUTHOR CREDIT:

When using content from online sources, it is important to credit the author.  In fact, when using the web, we should credit the author of the world wide web by explaining to students about Tim Berners-Lee.

Tim Berners-Lee was a programmer who created the www or world wide web protocols which control the transmission of internet web pages.  Every Web page in the world is referenced by an a number, the world wide web protocol allows you to type in a human language web address www.yahoo.com to visit a specific place on the web.

68.142.226.37 is the numeric IP address for www.yahoo.com  and yet because of Tim Berners-Lee the web is accessible to millions because a database automatically takes our human language web address and references the real number address in milliseconds and then displays the page we requested. Tim developed the URL or Universal Resource Locator that we now refer to as a web address.  He also invented the HTTP or hyper text transmission protocol (a set of rules for web pages to communicate).
